SIGNIS Services Rome (SSR) is a branch of SIGNIS, World Catholic Association for Communication. SSR assist church-related entities around the world in the identification, elaboration, and presentation of project proposals to various donors to launch media (TV, Radio, Website) and communication centers.

Job description:

The Fundraiser & Project writer (external consultant) will be in charge of the following activities:

  • Consultancy, in collaboration with the Management and staff of SIGNIS Services Rome, for planning, accompanying the technical planning and drafting of the Media and communication projects of the users of the SSR;
  • Drafting and presentation of project offers for participation in tender procedures banned by public, private, ecclesiastical bodies, at national, European and international level;
  • Management of relations with potential clients and partners during the technical preparation of projects;
  • Presentation of dossiers of financing requests to external donors (private and institutional);
  • Monitoring of the process of waiting for the funding response by responding to possible requests for additional information from funding bodies;
  • Contribution to identification and development, including through the analysis of calls and guidelines, of new channels and funding opportunities that are in line with the organization’s strategies.

The candidate must have the following characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in management, planning, communication, political science, cooperation;
  • Experience in the field of social and European design, with particular but not exclusive, reference to the field of communication, the development of new technologies, the media for social development, in the field of non-profit;
  • In-depth knowledge of project writing work, capacity of team working, in relation with public and private partners and clients;
  • Knowledge of how to manage procedures to participate in national, European and international calls, as well as budgeting and general reporting;
  • Flexibility and excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork and compliance with deadlines;
  • Proven ability to work (written and oral) in at least two of the following languages: Italian / English / French.

Contractual status:

The contractual framework and remuneration will be defined in relation to the candidate’s characteristics and experience.
